ONGOING EVENTS AT BLACKBERRY HILL FARM
Woolly Wednesdays!!!Every Wednesday is Woolly Wednesday at the farm! Woolly Wednesday is a casual gathering for fiber enthusiasts. Take this opportunity to get your fiber questions answered while becoming acquainted with our farm. Join other spinners, knitters, felters and fiber lovers for a day of fiber and fun. You are welcome to bring a project and work under the pavilion or spend time with the animals or just relax. Feel free to bring lunch, though a light refreshment will be served. This is a free ongoing event Wednesdays 10am-3pm.
The Llama Garden is our educational, entertaining and fun children’s program! Children learn about sheep, llamas, alpacas, bunnies and life on the farm and take home a project they have crafted with wool from the farm. $15 includes a healthy snack.
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm and Saturdays 10:30am-12:30pm and 2-4pm
Blackberry Hill Farm Store offering maple syrup, eggs, fiber and yarn, healing salve, gifts, baked goods, herb and flower plants, jam and more all from our farm!

Herbal Tinctures & Decoctions for Health & Pleasure Have you ever tried Lemon Verbena vodka or have you ever made a trip to the local health food store for some Echinacea or Chamomile tincture? Tinctures and decoctions are time tested methods of preparing herbs as remedies for common ailments. Come join us and “cook” up several types to take home. June 9 11am-2pm $25
Beads, Baubles, & Bracelets Learn to make felted beads that will be made into a bracelet or necklace in this class. June 16 1-4pm $25
Natural Dye Plants Part 1: Growing a Dye Garden Come learn how to grow a variety of natural dye plants from Hopi Dye Sunflower to Weld and Woad. You will take home a plant and be on your way to starting your own “Dye Garden”. June 23 11am -2pm $55
Herbs in Our Life: Growing & Cooking with Herbs We’ll discuss growing an herb garden as you plant a simple combo pot to take home. We’ll explore the culinary avenues for using a variety of herbs. There will be an herbal treat and recipe to take home form this hands on workshop. July 7 11am-2pm $50
Basic Feltmaking: Nuno Felt Collage Use cotton and silk fabrics and brightly colored wool to create a piece of nuno felt embellished with glitter yarn and sparkling beads.

Identifying Common Garden Herbs (Weeds) & Their Benefits Don’t be so quick to dig up that dandelion from your lawn! Learn to identify beneficial “weeds” and various ways to use them in your life. July 21 10am-12:30pm $20
Herbs in Our Life: Creating Natural Beauty Products with Herbs What do roses, lavender, and sage have to so with body powder, lip balm, aftershave, and body scrubs? Everything! We will be using herbs and flowers to make a beauty product to take home. We’ll discuss growing a basic herb garden for a continuous supply of herbal ingredients. August 4 10am-2pm $50
Basic Feltmaking: Bags & Purses Create a seamless wet felted bag. Learn what a resist is and several different ideas and techniques for making straps and embellishing your creation. August 18 10am-3pm $75
Basic Feltmaking: Warm and Cozy Scarves Learn how to make a wet felted scarf that is lightweight, warm, and beautiful. September 15 10am-3pm $65
The Llama Garden Summer Camp
The Llama Garden Summer Camp offers children the opportunity to experience life on a fiber farm. Children will be able to spend time with the animals while feeding, grooming and learning about them.A fiber project will be worked on each day and will take the fiber from raw material to a finished project. Fiber activities will include washing, dyeing(non-toxic dyes), carding, spinning on a drop spindle, and felting or weaving. There will be storytelling and snack time. Children will be involved in preparing healthy snacks. Ages 6-12 9am-12:30pm
